That evening, while I was tidying up my fifteen-year-old son’s school bag, I wasn’t expecting anything unusual. I just wanted to throw away the trash and organize his things, since he always tossed his bag in a corner saying he’d clean it later. But this time, underneath the books, my hand landed on a dense, crumpled white paper package.

At first, I honestly thought it was just trash. The paper was wrinkled as if it had been hastily hidden, just to avoid attention. I was about to throw it away when I suddenly felt something inside. I carefully unfolded the paper… and froze.

From the tone of his voice, I immediately knew he was lying. He said it too casually, as if he had already prepared his answer, hoping I wouldn’t question it further.

I couldn’t hold back any longer. I took a napkin and pressed lightly to see what was inside. The shell cracked—and at that moment, I felt a chilling cold.

What was inside wasn’t what I feared… and it wasn’t reassuring. On the contrary, it was even more terrifying.
