A bowl of hot water
A wooden or plastic spatula (never metal!)
Thick towel or tray to catch melting ice
Optional: Hairdryer or fan
Unplug or Turn Off the Fridge Door Alarm (if needed)
Leave the freezer running, but open the door to let warm air in.
Place a Bowl of Hot Water Inside
Set it on a thick towel or pan to avoid direct contact with plastic shelves.
Close the door slightly if possible, and let the steam do its work.
Speed It Up with a Hairdryer or Fan
Use gentle heat or airflow (never touch the ice or walls directly). Move it around the interior to evenly distribute warmth.
Gently Remove Loose Ice
