DIY Mattress Disinfectant Spray

Keeping your mattress clean is crucial for a healthy sleeping environment. Dust mites, bacteria, and odors can accumulate over time, affecting your health and comfort. A simple homemade disinfectant spray can help combat these issues effectively. Here’s how you can make and use a natural disinfectant spray for your mattress.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup distilled water: Distilled water is preferred because it’s free from impurities and minerals that can leave residues.
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar: White vinegar has natural antibacterial properties and helps neutralize odors.
  • 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol: Rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) is a strong disinfectant that helps kill germs and bacteria.
  • 10-15 drops essential oil (optional): Essential oils like lavender, tea tree, or eucalyptus not only add a pleasant fragrance but also have additional antibacterial properties.
